  1. When I submitted via BAC, a proposed addition for the new 2009 Comprehensive Plan, it was not included in the 2009 Comprehensive Plan. Proposed inclusion would have required city government to consider the feasibility of area evacuation in case of a hurricane when considering approving new construction with resultant higher population densities along Shore Drive and Ocean front. It did not make it into the CP. To me, I think it is irresponsible for the city to continue to allow high density growth without enough shelters or an evacuation route out of the area. One of the primary responsibilities of city government is to protect and defend its citizens.
