  1. Tim–Love everything that you do with our website. And the year the bridge-tunnel was opened was–1963. Over the years we watched from Squad 1 founder John Bowman’s place in Ocean Park as the bridges and causeways were built, the tubes were hauled out and the roadbed was completed. Now we watch from Harbourgate and still marvel at the wonder and beauty of that amazing engineering feat.
