April 4th, several cars broken into in 2600 block Shore Drive
The police were able to obtain fingerprints and are investigating I do not have details of what was taken other than the front panel of a stereo.
2 School Buses hit on Shore Drive by same driver
Two public school buses that stopped on Shore Drive to let off students Monday afternoon were hit by a Jeep trying to pass them.

$1 million donated to Westminster-Canterbury
The donor, Nancy Hoy, is the widow of Harold “Hap” Hoy, who was president of Hoy Construction in Norfolk before his death in 1997. He was never a resident of Westminster, but his company was responsible for building an assisted-living wing at the retirement community in the 1990s.

Lynnhaven River 2007 is a local non-profit organization dedicated to improving the severely degraded water quality in the Lynnhaven River and to restoring the river?s vital natural habitats. The Lynnhaven River has long been legendary for its abundant and delicate oysters that were coveted by kings, queens and presidents. We aim to restore the legend.

There are no planned presentations for this month. We will use the first 30 minutes for an open discussion on the following suggested topic(s):
1) 2006 City Council Election & Questionnaire. – What else should the SDCC do for the community regarding this year’s election? Should we hold a forum? Should we have members contact candidates to personally discuss SDCC issues? Should we send members to each of the various forums already scheduled to gather information and present the SDCC viewpoints/questions?
