Held at Ocean Park Fire & Rescue Hall.
This month’s program will be “Meet and Greet Candidate Forum”. Seven candidates have RSVP’d to the forum. There is another forum being held the same night so other candidates could not attend. Each candidate will be given 3 minutes to tell us why we should vote for them. This will be followed by a 3 minute (or longer depending on the turnout) Question and Answer session.
Six seats are up for grabs. Five incumbents are up for re-election, plus there’s one open at-large seat. Remember: All voters in Virginia Beach can vote in all races, regardless of where they live. Read entire article which includes the Pilot’s questions/answers survey.

Sat. night (Apr 15). It is a 2001 J16 Carolina Skiff. Like new condition.

Sorry. I couldn’t resist posting this story. We’ve all been close to being there. Trying to cross a wide ‘speedway’ with a pedestrian signal that seems way too short for various reasons.

This is the public meeting for the Shore Drive Safety Task Force’s recommendations.
…The Committee will receive a briefing on the draft recommendations to the City Council from the Shore Drive Safety Task Force.
Pursuant to the resolution, short term recommendations should be completed within six months, mid term within six to 18 months and long term within 18 to 36 months.

“I want to make the neighborhood aware of an incident that occurred early Saturday (Apr 8) morning (around 1:25). As my boyfriend and I were walking home on the bike path from Lynnhaven Pub, in between Old Great Neck Rd. and Great Neck Rd, we were approached by a male.
Monday afternoon he took two of the dogs, English spaniels, for a walk at Chicks Beach shortly before three o’clock.
