Transportation: HRTPO Online Survey – Deadline Dec. 31st
Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) would like your help in long range planning for our region. Read their information below and Please take 5 minutes to answer their online survey.
The Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) is updating the Long-Range Transportation Plan. Entitled Navigating the Future to 2040, this plan will address future road, transit, passenger rail, freight, bicycle and pedestrian needs for the region. Because these are your needs, and because this plan will directly impact you and shape your quality of life, we want to hear your perspective and opinions on vital transportation issues in the region. In this way, we can mutually shape a vision for Hampton Roads. Help us navigate the region’s future! This short survey should only take about 5 minutes to complete and will be used to help guide transportation in Hampton Roads. We thank you for assisting us with identifying these issues, and enabling us to direct resources to solving these needs.
Do we pave over the neighborhoods of VB to make more roads to support more high density development? We will have to decide what we want for our city and then elect those City Council members and mayor that reflect our vision. If there is no connection between our vision and who we elect, we will get something that we will not recognize.
We should look for methods that optimize our transportation systems or else we will have inefficient roads everywhere. Anybody played “bumper cars-demolition derby” on the Laskin Road access roads lately during heavy shopping traffic? There are answers available without making VB look like downtown LA.
It appears that once someone takes the survey on the new links I post it shows up as completed. Stupid set up by HRTPO. I’ve changed the link to just take you to the HRTPO homepage, from there you will have to click on the survey portion of the slideshow. That should disconnect our link to the actual survey monkey site. Sorry for the hassle, but the solution was beyond my pay grade. :)
Worked like a charm! Thank you Todd!!
No problem, sorry it took so long to fix. Thanks for identifying this. Also, I’ve emailed the HRTPO with my ideas for improvement. Hopefully they will use them the next time they ask for citizen input.
It worked for me just now. 12/11/12, 11:25 a.m.
“We’re sorry. You have already taken this survey.” is the message I get. oh well.
That’s the same message I’ve gotten too. Todd – do you have the correct link set up yet ?
survey link does not work!
