The conflict between pedestrians and drivers is pervasive.  Neither knows exactly who has the right-of-way and each thinks it is they who do.  This creates a dangerous situation on a daily basis in communities all across the Commonwealth.

Please join Lynnhaven River 2007 at our quarterly Public Meeting, this Thursday, March 2, 2006, 8:00 a.m. ? 9:00 a.m. at the Dockside Inn, 3311 Shore Drive. 

On Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at approximately 10:35 a.m., a 1994 green Ford Ranger pickup truck went through radar doing 70 in a 55 mph zone in the 3800 block of Shore Drive.

The truck did pull over, but then took off. The truck passed over the Lesner Bridge going east. The officer noticed items being thrown out of the truck.

Senator George Allen (our Senator to US Congress) will be the speaker for Saturday Breakfast (Feb 25th) at Virginia Beach Resort & Conference Center at 2800 Shore Drive. 

Open to the public and there will be questions taken from the audience.

Public Voices on Redevelopment is an open process to obtain community-wide views and questions on the creation of a redevelopment strategy for the city. Legislative Initiative to Revise R5R Zoning for Structures Constructed on Non-Conforming Lots.

This is the proposal put together by the North Virginia Beach Civic League in 2005.

Ironically, on the day the Shore Drive Safety Task Force took it’s Field Trip, there was a multi-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes, at the light at the west end of the Lesner Bridge around 2:30pm.

Then… around 6:30pm, a car caught fire in the turn lane in the same place.
