Ownership of the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center has changed hands and will be rebranded as a Delta by Marriott after extensive renovations, Stacey Shiflet, a BAC member and executive in the family company that sold the hotel, reported.

Closing on the $19 million sale took place June 15, said Shiflet, who said she has been hired as a consultant during the transition. Some $25 million in renovations are planned.
