The Corps of Engineers Norfolk District, NAO, has been successful on behalf of VB in acquiring funds to perform a Lynnhaven inlet dredging this summer. This work is expected to occur in July.
In the interim, the sand at the Crab Creek dredged material holding area is available for emergency replenishment should projected threats to life and properties develop.
Mr. Dave Hansen, Deputy City Manager, and Mr.Phill Roehrs, P.E., Water Resources Engineer will be briefing the Committee on the emerging project timeline.
