Nice bike stolen and traded for junky bike at Maple Street

From Cape Story’s Neighborhood Watch:

The following was received from a resident who lives on Maple St.

“On Monday afternoon about 3:00 pm my Bicycle was stolen from the beach entrance at Ocean Shore Ave and Maple Street. Unfortunately, I didn’t have it locked to anything. I was just walking down to the beach for a few minutes and poof it was gone when I got back. The culprit did however leave me their (very junky) bike. It was in the place where mine was and where he tossed my shoes off (I had my shoes hanging off the handle bars).  I just bought it March 21 and never got around to jotting down the serial number on it, so, I have nothing to show for it except the owner’s manual and the purchase sticker the store gave me when I bought it. It was a baby Blue Schwinn Mountain Bike.  Please call Susan on 496-0627 if you have any information.”

Please remember to call 911 if you see a crime in action and call 385-5000, option 1, to report crimes after they have occurred or to report any suspicious activity.
