POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING ARMED BANK ROBBER
On Friday, January 8, 2010 at approximately 9:22 a.m., a man walked into the Wachovia Bank located in the 2800 block of Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, and approached the teller line while displaying a black framed gun. He demanded money. The teller complied and handed an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. The suspect fled from the business and it is unknown if the suspect got into a vehicle or had a vehicle nearby.
The suspect is described as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5’9” to 5’11” tall, with a medium to stocky build. He was last seen wearing a “Carolina blue” long sleeve collared polo shirt, light colored blue jeans, black ski mask, white gloves, and white sneakers. He wore a black bag, similar to a computer laptop bag, over his shoulder.

Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to call the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers Office at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
This case remains under investigation by the Department’s Robbery Squad with Detective Elizabeth Vanderheiden as the lead investigator.
