The following is provided for your information:

City Asks Citizens to Report Storm Damage – November 2009 Nor’easter 020

Release Date:  Tuesday, November 17, 2009 9:45 a.m.

The City of Virginia Beach is asking citizens to report damage to their homes, businesses, cars or other property from last week’s storm. The city will provide a summary of this information to the state and federal governments. Please report damage at http://www.VBgov.com/stormdamage and fill out a brief form, or call the city’s 311 information line (outside Virginia Beach, call (757) 385-3111). Citizens will be asked to provide:

  * Location
  * Type of damage
  * Name
  * Contact information
  * An estimate of the severity of the damage

Damage must be caused by the northeaster from Wednesday, Nov. 11, to Saturday, Nov. 14.  This information will be used by officials to accurately determine the extent of the damage from the powerful coastal storm.

Note: props to June for coming up with “Nor’Ida”. Seems like the name should stick.
