At it’s June meeting, the Shore Drive Community Coalition (SDCC) voted unanimously to oppose the
proposed rezoning of the City marina from P-1 to B-2. 

This letter is being submitted to make City Staff, the Planning Commission and City Council aware of this
opposition and to request that the proposed rezoning of this site be discontinued.  The community feels
that the possible problems created by rezoning and planned privatization of the marina outweigh any
possible benefits for the local community as well as the rest of Virginia Beach.
